Recently, the Middle and Small Size Enterprise Venture Capital Fund invested by State Development Bank, Shanghai Pudong Development (Group) Co. Ltd., and an overseas famous management team has been registered and incorporated in Pudong. The 200-million USD fund, which takes the form of a Sino-foreign Contractual Joint Venture, is approved by the Ministry of Commerce, and is one of the 5 major financial reforms in Pudong 2008-2010 Reform Plan.
From the end of last year, John Liu of this firm has been providing legal services on the establishment of the fund. He was responsible for reviewing Sponsor¡¯s Agreement, Management Agreement, Contracts and Articles of Association of the fund as well as of the management company, and also involved in negotiations among the investors. His work was highly recognized by all the investors, which fully demonstrates this firm¡¯s strength in PE/VC.
